I love:
- Getting mail or email or comments
- People who have a generous heart
- The truth
- Falling in love
- Being able to help others
- My family
- Visiting different countries or places
- Meeting new people
- Good food (cooking it, eating it, going out for it)
- Romantic movies and music
I hate:
- People who think they are better than everybody else
- Offal (heart, kidneys, liver, brain, haggis, . . . )
- Wasps (what are they all about??)
- False friends
- People who cannot be bothered to wash or use deodorant
- Companies that phone you up late at night or at weekends to sell you sh*t!
- Drivers who do 40 mph in a 60 mph zone!
- Women who talk in the middle of the supermarket or a walkway blocking everything
- People who don't clean up after their dogs
- Kids who are allowed to run riot without their parents intervening

Hates
1. Inconsiderate people- why is it me, me, me
2. Angry Drunks - Getting drunk should make you happy
3. tell us the truth- we're adults we can handle it.
4. speed camera's on motorways - lets all slow down to 40mph
5. slow drivers- who then get angry if you overtake them.
6. holiday prices- why do they go up in the best months.
7. The French
8. European Market - Is it a single market or what- why is britain ripped off.
9. lazy people parking in a disabled zone - can't they walk the few extra yards.
10. Tipping - dont expect it, earn it. and why dont i receive a tip.

I don't know offhand, but I thought I would make a comment anyway. :)
Good lists, Erik. You and I have similar "loves" (grin), and some "hates" as well.
You know what REALLY bugs the sh*t out of me? Bad manners! This has been the subject of the day for me today. I'm working on a blog posting myself on this one because of something that has happened.
My biggest love probably is the affection I get from my kids. My husband is stingy when dolling it out, but my kids pile it on -- just as I taught them!
Oh, and the handicapped parking thing irks me too, especially now since I'm entitled to use said privileged spaces. I HATE when others use them and don't have the proper permits, forcing me to park twice as far as I am able to walk.
Rant off.
Oh, and BTW, don't beat yourself up over your e-mail to me.
hates:

~ people who yak on their phones while attempting to drive
~ my grandmother asking me why I don't have a boyfriend
~ my mother asking me why I don't have a boyfriend
~ my sister asking me... ok I think you get the idea.
loves:
~ my family when they are not inquiring about my love life
~ my doggie
~ my work when certain people call in sick
~ Fridays!

Hmm. Hates...
1. The many injustices present throughout the world today,
e.g. corrupt politics, the arms trade, Procter & Gamble (of course!), Nestlé.
2. People who think that just because you're 6ft 2" you can cope with anything.
3. People who use the above excuse to justify being unpleasant towards you
because they are envious of your height and/or abilities.
3. Bad music/bad taste in music(yes I know you think it's subjective but it really isn't ;-)
4. "Friends" who use their boyfriends like trophies in order to triumph over me.
5. Females who sound like this:
"Oi Loza get me a bible you minger". Yes, they really do exist.
6. Macho men. (A "man's man").
7. Weak-minded men.
8. Intensive farming.
9. My Mother's inability to sing in tune or clap in rhythm ;-D
10. Anything number-related. Ugh, maths... :-(
Loves...
1. My parents. God gave me the best ones,
so I can only offer my comiserations to everyone else.
2. The rest of my immediate family.
3. The Woolly Bear that is Jameson (our dog).
4. The wondrous yet terrifying thing that is
the Earth and all that lives on it.
5. My closest friends, who I can be myself with
and who have my best interests at heart.
6. Films that make me cry (that's usually an indication of a darn good film).
7. Good books, e.g. The Hours, anything by James Herriot, and Jane Austen novels.
8. A range of music. Isn't music wonderful? It can both express and affect one's mood.
Well, unless it's some gorram band like Depeche Mode...in which case I have the sudden urge to slash my wrists and stick forks in my thighs.
9. Dreams of what's to come, e.g. where I might travel.
10. The prospect of falling in love (although at this moment in time that seems
highly unlikely - there aren't enough decent men to go 'round).

This is an excellent list of loves & hates and veeery funny in places (make sure 'tu madre' isn't reading this or she will smack your gorram behind!!)
One thing though . . there are enough decent men around but they are a bit like truffles, . . hard to find!!

I thought of another hate -- snakes. Gack! I live in the rattlesnake capital of the world, and, ironically, I hate snakes so much I cannot even look at a photo of them.
