Fecking Polititians!!

There are 635 members of the British House of Commons, the same group that cranks out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us in line. Fine!
But did you realise that in that group

  • 3 have done time for assault
  • 7 have been arrested for fraud
  • 8 have been arrested for shoplifting
  • 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges
  • 19 have been accused of writing bad cheques
  • 21 are currently defendants in lawsuits
  • 29 have been accused of spouse abuse
  • 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit
  • 84 were arrested for drink driving in the last year
  • 117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses

And those are the people that we put our trust in to move the country forward!
Doesn't it just put the Great back into Great Britain?!?!?

Now this is a coincidence, only a couple of days ago I saw a similar list for our elected officials. I don't recall it being quite as bad as yours, but then there's not as many politicians over here.

Whoa that's some statistics. Isn't there some law preventing crooks from being MP's? Mind you we have dodgy dealings over here and tribunals but they still seem to get away with it.

they are politicians because nobody else in their right mind would hire them.

We have a president who should be impeeched and promptly sent to jail for war crimes, so I can hardly see that list and feel overly shocked.

Still, it's amazing isn't it?

This list doesn't surprise me Polititians are a load of crooks and conmen/women and the ones with all the money!! Look at Blair whose just bought yet another house.

Ridiculous, isn't it? There ought to be a law...

We have a few unfavorable characters representing us also. But I will speak up in favor of President Bush. He's a good man.

When you think of what reporters make politicians go through makes you wonder why any decent people would put their families through it. Makes open doors for the not so honest kind.

Here in my state, we actually RE-ELECTED a governor who had been indicted on a felony charge of fraud. While he was serving his second term, he was convicted!

Getting it all out before the Fun Monday topic this week?

I'm in the US and the mayor of my town will be sentenced in May for fraud and accepting bribes. Yup, proud to be an American.
