Time for a Survey

The Fly is conducting a survey just for sh*ts & giggles:
So do partake via comments!
Thanks

Survey:

  1. Do you have (or are you prepared to have) SKYPE installed (it's free!)
  2. Do you have a Webcam at home?
  3. Would you be prepared to share your SKYPE name with blog friends and speak to them on Skype? (This could be emailed to them so the SKYPE name would not be seen publically on your blog)
  4. Would you talk to them via Webcam?
  5. If you wouldn't do point 3 and/or point 4 above, what are your reservations or reasons?

I start the ball rolling by saying that I do have SKYPE and a Webcam and would be happy to do either/both.

Over to you!

P.S.:

I am selling a real naff wonderful item on Ebay, so scoot over there via this link below and get your hands on a great item (all for charity!!)

Oh no miss moi, I thought it meant rolling on the floor laughing, I see my teenager let me down!!!

Did you get any hits in the short time you had it posted Erik?

1) No, have mentioned it to hubby, he's in charge of the computer and very slow at doing anything that may improve it!

2) No, again something I would like to have as my family are in the UK and USA and I am not.

3)Some, because I spend enough time blogging! There are a few people who I would love to talk to especially when they are going through a crisis. I feel that I have made some good friends through blogging.

4) see above.

5) see (3)!

Beccy - Get that husband of yours kicked into touch!
He's letting the side down!!

Erik, while I think it's potentially very COOL, it's not something we'll be getting any time soon.

We have children in and approaching their teen years....we've had a few friends whose "good" kids have gotten into trouble with net stuff (the bad stuff). Soooo, I'm just not gonna even go there, not going to put them in a position to accidentally discover something that could hurt them.

Stupid, stupid people taking a good thing and making it "bad".

Sounds fun for you though, Maybe in about 10 years for me, lol.

Iam not even sure what this is.isnt it a camera that goes on your computer?I dont think I will get one.see I really dont want to scare the heck out of my readers.my face early in the morning only a mother could love, and her just barely.so no I wont be getting one.
and I hear some people use them for showing their lets just say parts that I sure as heck dont want to see.
I wouldnt inflicked others with putting my ugly body on one.but others do.why they would want to is beyond me?no I will not be getting one.God bless you and yours.

1) I'm afraid I have no clue what SKYPE is.

2) Yes, I think so...somewhere.

3) If I knew what SKYPE was, and I had a SKYPE name, then perhaps I would speak to my friends on it...

4) No, I wouldn't talk to anyone on camera. Good golly, I'd frighten them! You'd be scared and running silly away from your computer, fearful of ever returning...

5) Hmmm...I'm beginning to think this SKYPE is a camera of sorts? Well, I do believe I answered this question in number four then, haven't I? I'd like to keep my online pals; hence, hide!

Tracey - Go to www.skype.com to find out!

Nope - don't have Skype.

My husband and I had a camera on the computer when they first came out (and was so slow then, but pretty fascinating). I think the first time I clicked on somebody's name and met Mr. Dickface, literally - I decided I didn't need to have it anymore.

Sorry, I'm still in the last century on this stuff.

I prefer writing over speaking anyway.

Right now there's a 6 yr old boy visiting our house whose dad is over in Iraq. I know he sees/speaks to his dad by webcam. For something like that I would get a webcam, but probably not otherwise. (Though I'm sure you'd be a great time :))

No I don't have skype, yes i have a webcam and no i wouldn't use it to converse with other bloggers.
I recently un-installed MSN cos it was just too distracting when i had stuff to do online.
Also, I've had a few unpleasant experiences, so i prefer to keep my online/offline lives, very seperate.

I KNEW technology was passing me by! I don't even know what SKYPE is!
If I had it, I might talk to blogger friends, but I would be very particular.

enid has skype too - much better than phones in molvania, especially as her phone keeps getting cut off because she can't pay the bill.

If you look at my fun monday - you may see one of the original video cameras ... which I used maybe twice. Then someone showed me their stuff and I just didn't turn it on anymore.
