Are you working hard???
Today is the first day of my redundancy and like you I am at home working hard.
It was hard saying goodbye to some of the lovely people in the office, some of whom I have known for 20 years but when you have to go - you have to go!
Knowing my liking for Single Malt Whisky I was presented with some very fine specimen of the amber liquid and have already started on one of the bottles last night! It's all my wife's fault! She wanted one, too (Whisky that is!!).
I'm off to the kitchen now to bake some sort of cake (pictures might follow!)
So, cheerio for now!

I'm behind with my reading and missed the bulk of the "redundancy" story...are you doing all right (apart from OBVIOUSLY having a bit too much to drink...)?

I'll have one of those! (The beer, not the malt. Though my husband loves a good malt too.) I think baking a cake is a great way to start your redundancy.
Now that you don't have to be at the office every day, have you got special plans for your time? (I think a while back you mentioned looking for other work. I hope you can afford to take a little time off first to enjoy a break.)

erik so you really are tidy, you don't need to rub it in, couldn't just arrange to have a few things scattered about for your next office photo, it would make us lesser mortals feel a bit better.
I don't want to dampen your enthusiasm for cake baking but the only trouble is (as I have found to my cost I really mean waist) one has to keep sampling the end results.
Reading this back I sound very negative but I won't delete and start again it must be because it's getting late. Still looking forward to seeing the cake. Hope you have a lot of those little sample boxes there are a lot of us out here!!
