Pancake Day
Whether the country is under siege, the sun doesn't rise in the East or a nuclear reactor has just exploded . . there is just nothing that can stop the urge to make pancakes on Shrove Tuesday (Pancake Day).
The household of the very nice man is no exception to this rule and just to prove it, the electronic firefly will provide pictorial evidence of this:
Son No.1: "Right, folks! I've got the recipe book, I've got the mixing bowl, I've got the ingredients and this very fetching apron! Let battle commence!!"
Son No.1: "It says here . . borrow 4 eggs, mix them with flour, milk and water and get your mum to whisk it until her hands drop off!"
Son No.1: "Now leave the kitchen quickly and wait until pancakes appear on your plate!"
It is not very often that you have a perfect chance to embarrass your kids, so I urge you all to comment on Son No.1's girlie apron! He does read this blog!!

Nice pics Eric, Maureen fibbed to make me read by saying your son was naked from the waist up. Anyhow my own son Alex ate so many pancakes he said he doesn't want to see another one for at least 12 months! Love Zoe x
Erik, what a hunky son! We are just upset that he wasn't shirtless to go with his lovely blue apron! Made Zoe look tho! LOL xx
We didn't even realize that it was Shrove Tuesday until daughter dropped by and mentioned it, but we were already eating dinner at the time.
dear erik. Doesn't your son that real men don't wear aprons... Nice pics. I hope you enjoyed your pancakes!
Erik, I don't know what Shrove Tuesday is (off to google it when I'm done here). That being said, it sounds like a v e r y interesting cookbook your son was following. "Borrow four eggs"? Are y'all really going to give them back??? ;)
AND...
the girlie apron looks lovely with Son #1's eyes...I'm sure that's why he selected it (personally, I think he WANTED you to blog him!).
ahh can we call him names like Sissy Pants? LOL
I'm diggin the orange wall. I WANT AN ORANGE WALL

The apron matches the shirt!
Erik would you not buy your wife an eletric mixee, they make beating batter much quicker and easier!
*mixer*
Ohhhh, I love pancakes! :)
I didn't know what Shrove Tuesday was either - ah HA! Mardi Gras before Lent, got it. Not being too religious or Catholic, I don't much participate in that. I eat my chocolate whenever I damn feel like it.
Sory - I can't call the boy Sissy. If he was wearing a pink apron, maybe. I think it's the little cute beard.
erik your son can come and wear an apron in my kitchen any day (well us oldies can still dream). By the way you didn't post the picture of you in an apron doing the dishes after all those who cook don't clear up or so I'm told !!!
That is a very pretty apron and he wears it so well!
The thing that caught my eye is your range hood- very unusual, I want one!
Nice apron but it doesn't look to have a pocket, I would have preferred a pocket or two on it. ec
How nice that he choose an apron that matched his shirt. Otherwise he would just look ridiculous.
He can come hold my recipe books.
Real men wear aprons.
Butchers, Blacksmith, Bartender, Baker
...and the cute little PanCaker.
